Donald Clark Obituary

Donald F. Clark of Oscoda died peacefully at home on Dec. 9, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife and son.
He was born Sept. 13, 1933 in Tawas City to Wilford and Violet (nee Thornton) Clark. Don went to Tawas schools, from which he graduated in 1951. He met Elaine Hofacer Clark in 1950 and they married in 1952.
Don served in the U.S. Army from January 1955 to December 1956, after which he returned to Oscoda. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1957 until he retired 33½ years later. With the help from his friend, Howard Hofacer, Don opened the Office Lounge in 1971 and operated it for 34 years.
Don loved running beagles and became internationally known for his hare hounds, winning many field championships. He also enjoyed hunting from his properties in Iosco and Alcona counties.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; son Donald ""Donnie""; sister, Beatrice Abbot; a special niece, Madi Mulleague; and nephew John Kuclo.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie; son Larry; his parents; his sister, Marion Kuclo; niece Veronica Kuclo-Raub; and nephew James Mulleague.
Respecting his wishes, there will be no funeral service and he has been cremated.
