Edward Crainer Obituary

Edward L. Crainer, age 66, of Whittemore, passed away on July 12, 2025.
Born on Sept. 17, 1958 to Dick and Deloris Crainer, Ed was the youngest of four (Ken, Jan, and Faye). Ed was a graduate of Whittemore-Prescott High School and Kirtland Community College. He worked at Kraft Foods in Pinconning for 15 years before pursuing a career in nursing that ended in 2023.
Ed is survived by his wife, Pam; his three sons, Bryan, Bradley, and Rodney (Riley); and nine adoring grandchildren, Brady, Jonah, Micah, Elijah, Caleb, Wyatt, Luke, Sadie, and Monroe.
Ed loved travelling with Pam, hunting in the fall, and attending all of his sons' sporting events and as many Detroit Tigers games as possible. He was a staple at Whittemore-Prescott football games, Relay for Life Cancer Walks, and WKJC's weekly "stump the chump" radio segment.
As a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Ed served his church as a deacon and was passionate about reaching out to his community with the message of the gospel.
A visitation will be hosted at Buresh Funeral Home in Prescott, on Thursday, July 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. On Friday, July 18, there will be a visitation at Judson Baptist Church in Prescott from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's honor can be made to the Judson Baptist Church Mission Fund.
