Eunice Petty Obituary
She was born on June 21, 1929 in Omer to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Koehn) White. Eunice graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School. She married James D. Petty on July 1, 1951 and together, they cherished 62 years of marriage.
Eunice worked as the Base Exchange Manager on Wurtsmith Air Force Base for many years. Throughout the years, she enjoyed reading, crocheting and crafts.
More recently, Eunice enjoyed watching the wildlife outside of her bedroom window and playing Bingo every Monday and Thursday with her friends at the Village, but there was no friendship that matched the connection she had with her dog, Bandit. After her husband passed away in 2013, Bandit became her companion and best friend and they are now all joined together again. Eunice will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (Ken) Plaskewicz and Louann (John) Bero; grandchildren, Christopher (Carrita) Plaskewicz and Tamara (Jared) Sellers; great grandchildren, Alaina, Noah and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, James; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Betty White; niece, Cheryl White; and her best dog friend, Bandit.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Iosco Humane Society in honor of Eunice and Bandit. Interment will take place in Oscoda Pinecrest Cemetery and you may offer your condolences online to the family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
