Larry Ellis Obituary
He is survived by his two children, James (MaryAnne) Ellis of Flushing and Lori Anne (Dale) Thorne of Whittemore; five grandchildren, Joshua (BobiJo) Drews, Erin Ellis, James Drews, Andrew Ellis and Jessie (Danielle) Murray; and two great granddaughters, Kennedy Lee Drews and Caitelyn Avery Drews. He will be greatly missed by his special friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol S. Ellis (nee Dick), who died Feb. 28, 2012.
Mr. Ellis graduated from Bendle High School in Burton in 1950. He was an independent bricklayer and a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Korean War era. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Private cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 21 at Tawas Presbyterian Church 2095 E. US-23 in East Tawas. Arrangements are handled by the Hale Chapel of Buresh Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.

Jim, Lori and family - my deepest sympathy goes to all of you on the death of your dad & grandfather. We had a lot of good times growing up on Lake Fenton. It would be great to touch base once again. Blessings to all of you!

I graduated with Larry and Carol. We was on Bendles varsity football and basketball team. I remember our senior trip to Mackinaw Island and Chicago by boat. We had a blast. While we was waiting to board the boat in Detroit we went into Hudsons and bought all of the panama hats. We wore them on the senior trip. Larry was a very good friend. He will surely be missed. May his memories be eternal. May God give comfort to his family.
