Max Wurn Obituary

Max R. Wurn, age 88, a 28-year resident of National City, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022 at Iosco County Care Facility.
He was born in Boyne City on July 23, 1934 to parents Walt and Dorthy Wurn. Max married his true love, Irene Wurn, on Oct. 30, 1953 in Mt. Morris. The two settled in Mt. Morris, and raised their family where Irene was employed by General Motors and Max worked as head of City Maintenance. Max and Irene were truly inseparable until Irene preceded him in death on April 25, 2014.
Max was a very kind and sweet man. His silly and fun personality is one that will be greatly missed. He enjoyed fishing and could build almost anything you could possibly dream of. He devoted his life to taking care of his wife, family, and home.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, (Walter) Rick Wurn of Oscoda, and Bruce Wurn of Mt. Morris; four grandchildren. Alethea and husband Matt Harvey, Hannah Wurn, Joshua and wife Lisa Wurn, and Joanna Wurn; great grandchildren, Nikolai, Gage, Ge'Nya, Ge'Nae and other very special grandbabies, along with other special family and friends. Max was also preceded in death by his parents; and his granddaughter, Rosanna "Rosbud" Wurn.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec 13, at 1 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. Interment will follow in Wilber Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the start of service. You may offer condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
