Sandra Rentschler Obituary

Sandra Kay Rentschler, 71, formerly of Oscoda, passed away on June 15, 2025.
She was born on March 21, 1954 in Hillsboro County, Fla., to the late Edmund Robert Burdick and Mary Frances (Nicholson) Key. Sandra married the great love of her life, Erwin Rentschler, in October of 1988 and he preceded her in death.
She was an incredible chef, and spent most of her life working in kitchens and managing restaurants. She loved entertaining and a good boat ride.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Lawson of Florida, Jeff Lawson (Lisa) of Georgia, and Lindsey Pesonen (Kyle) of Plainfield, Ind.; step-children, Jason Rentschler, Laurie Ketchaver (Bryan) and Paula Anderson; siblings, Norman Thagard, Beverly Markovich and Scott Key; six grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and 11 step-great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, and two siblings (Pam and John), preceded her in death. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, Ind., is handling the arrangements. There will be no services at this time.
