Virgil Hansen Obituary
He was born on Oct. 11, 1934 in Sleepy Eye, Minn. to the late Henry and Karen Hansen (nee Bundgaard). Virgil served in the United States Air Force before retiring after 22 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, golfing, the outdoors and especially spending time with his family.
Virgil is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Hansen, whom he married on January 23, 1958. He is also survived by his daughter, Robbin (John) Allen; son, Daniel (Diane) Hansen; son, Hans (Natascha) Hansen; grandchildren, Kate, Charles, Rory and Taylor; brother, Phillip (Barbara) Hansen; and sister, Eunice Boyer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Hansen; and daughter, Cathy Hansen.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 12 at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. Memorials may be directed to the Aleda E. Lutz VA Hospital in Saginaw and condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
