Agnes Terry Graber died on February 24, 2011, at River Oaks Residential Care. Terry was born on May 3, 1919, in Florence, SC. She was the daughter of Charles Scott Teachey and Minnie Riddick Teachey. She attended Florence public schools and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Terry was married to Charles David Graber on February 28, 1944, at the Presidio in San Francisco, California. For many years she traveled throughout the world with her husband, an Army immunologist, before they settled-down in Charleston, SC, where he was a professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. For the last part of her life Terry lived at Land's End on St. Helena Island, and on King Street in the City of Beaufort, SC. Terry loved history and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of 1812, The Plantagenet Society, The Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, The Society of the Magna Carta, The Daughters of Colonial Wars, and the Society of Americans of Royal Descent. Terry loved to read, and to travel, and to create counted cross-stitch, and she was famous for her lemon meringue pie. She is survived by her three children, Scott Graber, Dr. David Graber, and Ellen Sinderman; as well as her four grandchildren, Zachary Graber, Drew Graber, Matthew Herbert Sinderman, and Hope Clothilde Sinderman; and by her daughters-in-law Susan Graber and Leela Graber. The children of her sister Lee Harles also survive her, Regina Haggerty, Terry Lynn Hunt, Bill Harles, and Harry J Harles. She will be remembered for her warmth, her charm and her love of the South. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 2:30 PM, at St. Helena Episcopal Church, 507 Newcastle Street, Beaufort, SC.
