Anne Sprague Obituary

Anne Caroline Sprague Anne Caroline Sprague, 83, of Hilton Head, formerly of Dataw Island, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Sprague was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec Canada, the daughter of the late John W. and Sally Cushman Hammond. She was a graduate of Havergal College in Toronto, Ontario. Anne loved world travel and was an avid golfer. She was active in her local Circle and served as treasurer of the local Girl Scouts of America. Mrs. Sprague loved her family and will be missed by all. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Willis Norman Sprague, two daughters, Sally Anne Sweeney of Salem, Virginia; Susan Reibert Miller of Bluffton, S.C.; one brother, John W. Hammond, Jr. of Toronto,Ontario Canada; three grandsons and three great-grandsons. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:30 A.M. in the Beaufort National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Cross, P.O.Box 278, Bluffton, S.C. 29910. Copeland Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
