I served with Arthur during his time as a US Marine. We served together at NAS S Weymouth in the Ordnance Shop of VMA-332 from July 1979 until July 1981. We had some very good times and a lot of busy times, all are still very good memories. I member that 5 of us from the Ordnance Shop went on a deer hunting trip in the Brisbane area, VT, NH and MA. We got a small 2 person camper from Special Services, so you can imagine very cramped quarters for five people. We had no luck hunting but had a great time anyway. There was a good amount of beer drinking and we almost sent Bob Murphy, without his glasses, out into a pasture to see what he would shoot. In 1981, I transferred to MCAS El Toro and Arthur was soon to follow. We were both assigned to MAG 13, Arthur was with VMA-214 and was already with VMA-211. In November 1983, I transferred to MWWU-3 at MCAS Yuma, AZ with Zulu Team. It was a pleasure to serve with Arthur and to get to know him as a friend. God bless you, my friend.
