Barbara Ladd

1957 - 2025

Barbara Ann Ladd, 68, passed away on October 26th, 2025 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, surrounded by loving friends and family.



Born on April 23, 1957, Barbara grew up in Cuyahoga Falls and carried with her a vibrant spirit that touched all who knew her. She was known for her self-proclaimed "gift of gab," a reflection of her outgoing nature and love for connecting with others. Her happy-go-lucky demeanor, sensitivity, and boundless energy made her a cherished presence in the lives of many.

She started her professional career working for Goodyear Tires in Akron Ohio, where she met her husband Tim. From there Goodyear took them on a wild career path where they would spend seven years overseas living in Malyasia, Mexico city, and Melbourne Australia. It was during this time that Barbara made unforgettable memories and lifelong friends. When opportunity arose, the Ladds ended their time overseas and settled in the one place that was always their home away from home, Hilton Head. On Hilton Head she found various professional adventures from owning a gift shop, dabbling in real estate, and always finding a retail store where she could connect with just about any tourist.



Barbara found joy in life's simple pleasures-playing golf better then her husband, relaxing on the beach, tending to her garden, traveling to new places, and cheering on Auburn tiger football games. She especially loved spending time with her dogs and being surrounded by family and friends.



She is lovingly remembered by her father, Warren Fouch; her brothers, Jim Fouch and Bob Fouch; her sister, Jane Mackey; and her sons, Ryan and Sean and stepdaughter Amy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tibbie.



A service to honor Barbara's life will be held on Hilton Head Island at a later date.
