Barbara Williams Obituary

Barbara Badgley Williams
April 8, 1928 - February 16, 2023
Paradise Valley, Arizona - Barbara Badgley Williams, 94, of Paradise Valley, AZ passed away on February 16, 2023 with her family by her side. Barbara was born April 8, 1928 in Irvington, NJ to Margaret Rice Tozier Badgley and Richard Douglas Badgley. She was the middle child of two brothers. Barbara attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME where she met her husband of 56 years, Harry O. Williams. Barbara is survived by her children, Margaret W. Ondrovik, Virginia W. Walsh, H. Douglas Williams, and Barbara W. Fesen, her eight grandchildren, and her 10 great-grandchildren. Barbara will be remembered most for her love of traveling, sailing, choral singing, and volunteering. Her passion for books led her to volunteer at the public library in each of the various places she lived throughout her life. She raised her family primarily in Hingham, MA, then moved to Wilton, CT, and retired on Hilton Head Island, SC. Arizona was her home for her last 12 years. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date on Hilton Head Island. Donations may be made to Friends of the Hilton Head Library (friendshhilibrary.org), one of Barbara's favorite volunteer experiences.
