Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Carol Brownfield Keller 81 of Hilton Head Island SC passed away the morning of November 7,2023 with her husband of 44 years Alan Keller by her side.

Carol was born in Akron, Ohio on February 24, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Gladys and Phil Cassidy in addition to her parents she was predeceased by her effervescent daughter Lore Marie Brownfield and her son-in-law Steve Plowden.

Carol is survived by: her husband Alan Keller, daughters Lisa Plowden and Sally Brownfield, stepdaughter Toni Keller Butts (Daryl), grandchildren Jesse Plowden, Cassidy Plowden, Hunter Roberson (Kiera), sister Patricia Barger (Larry), niece Shelley Barger, mother-in-law Jacqueline Keller.

Carol moved to Hilton Head with her 3 daughters Lisa, Lori, and Sally in 1976 and has been living in Port Royal ever since. She met Alan in 1978 and they were married in 1979. In her early years working as a realtor for the Hilton Head Company she excelled and was a mentor to many realtors in her 44 year career.

Carol was a member of the Hilton Head Area Association of Realtors since 1979 and a founding member of the Hilton Head Bridge Association. She was also an active member of Grace Community Church as her faith was an integral part of her daily life.

Carols greatest pleasures were spending time with family and friends, playing bridge with Al, watching the Braves, taking care of her garden and being Mimi to her special grandson Jesse and her granddaughter Cassidy. She enjoyed watching Hilton Head sunsets, moonrises, and a sip of good bourbon from the Port Royal Beach Club or the Spanish Wells dock.

Carol's "amazing grace" will be joining her daughter Lori for her never ending sunset.

Carol will be greatly missed by her many friends for her generous nature, love of life and humorous euphemisms.

So raise a glass at sunset and toast to the memory of the legendary Carol Keller making her way down the heavenly Bourbon Trail!

A Celebration of Life will be held in January 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Lowcountry. www.keithfuneral.com

I have many fond memories with Carol. She was a good friend & neighbor for 20+ years. She had a quick wit & always had funny stories to share. I´m going to miss her but she will always be in my heart. I hope you are comforted by the outpouring of love and support that surrounds you.

Carol and I shared the same birthday and for several years we (along with Al and Bob) would take trips together to celebrate, and always ended the evening with a "Pappy". She was fun, we loved her and will miss her something special!
