Colleen Ferguson Obituary

Colleen (Armstrong) Ferguson of Hilton Head Island died on Friday, August 24th, 2012 at the age of 85. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Eugene K. "Gene" Ferguson; three children- Gary (Pam) Ferguson, of Kansas, James Ferguson of South Carolina and Nancy Ferguson-Noyes (William) of Maine; sisters Shirley Dingler and Joan Hejna of Missouri. She had nine grandchildren; Ben (Tracy), Tim, Megan, Allyson, Bryan, Scott (Katie), Kurtis (Jill), Beth (Alistair), and Leslie(Steve) and seven great-grandchildren- Stella, Samantha, Kyle, Christopher, Drew, Owen and Kyra. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Noyes, her great-grandaughter- Lilly Fisher, and her brother, James Armstrong. Colleen devoted her life to her family, church and many life-long friends. She was a gourmet cook and famous for her cookies. Everyone who met her remembered her marvelous smile, her laughter and incredible energy. She will be truly missed but forever remembered. A celebration memorial will be held on Tuesday, August 28th at 4pm at St. Andrew's By the Sea.
