Darla Michele Brown FloydA funeral service for Mrs. Darla Michele Brown Floyd, age 53 of Hilton Head Island, SC, will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2pm at the Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, TN. Cremation will follow the service, and a private burial will be held at a later date at the Brown family cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brown Family Memorial Garden or Hilton Head Humane Association. Born July 20, 1960 in Jackson, Michigan. She worked for many years in the travel industry and visited 6 Continents. She touched lives on both coasts of the U.S. Darla had a love for family, adventure, and travel. She loved to protect the small and defenseless, little babies, dogs and butterflies. The world through her beautiful blue eyes was truly a wonderful place. Darla was a good Mother, Wife, Daughter, Grandmother and pet lover. She will forever be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Ralph "Ted" Jackson Waychoff, and her Brother, Jackson Brown. Darla is survived by her Husband, John W. Floyd of Hilton Head Island, SC; Parents, Billy and Joann Brown of Dickson, TN; Son, Billy C. Womble and his Wife, Dixie of Clarksville, TN; Daughter, Leslie Womble of Dickson, TN; Grandmother, Edna Waychoff of Dickson, TN; Brother, Charlie Brown; 2 Grandchildren, Amalie and Jack; Her Dogs, Val and Daisy Mae; and her Granddogs, Kaya and Penny.
