Florence Ferguson Obituary

Florence M. FergusonOn June 28th, 2014; the shining star of our lives transitioned into eternal love after a brief illness. Florence was a long time resident of the Jersey Shore and a more recent resident of Hilton Head Island, SC. Her young and vivacious had a joyous zest for life. Her abundant generosity left family and friends motivated, by her example, to make this world a better place. She leaves behind a legacy of beauty, love, grace and elegance. Florence had an active career in the medical field where she worked as a technologist and medical office/building manager. She sang for over 30 years with the Sweet Adelines where she helped design their performance outfits. She was very artistic and creative; an Interior Decorator Extraordinaire. She also volunteered for many years for the Monmouth Park Charity Ball. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves with us beautiful memories of her loving kindness, wisdom, encouragement and generosity. She will be missed more than words can express. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Litter Box Thrift Store, 46 Old Wild Horse Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. www.theislandfuneralhome.com
