Jack Lee Harlan Jack Lee Harlan, 75, of Beaufort, SC, husband of Brenda Jackson Harlan died Friday, March 2, 2012 at MUSC. He is survived by a stepson Thomas Bradly Woods (Becky), two grandsons Drake and Reid Woods; a brother Jan Harlan (Shirley), a sister Beth Davis, and a sister in-law Edna Harlan all of Roseville, Ohio, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia Harlan and a brother Lowell Harlan. Jack served as a combat photographer for the Marine Corps during Vietnam, retiring as Gunnery Sergeant after 22 years of service. Jack also worked as base locksmith for Facilities Maintenance Division at MCRD Parris Island retiring in 2000 after 15 years. He was a member of Carteret Street United Methodist Church, and Gideons International. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carteret Street United Methodist Church organ fund, 408 Carteret St. or Gideons International, PO Box 72, Beaufort, SC 29901. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 6 from 6PM to 8PM at Anderson Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday at Carteret Street United Methodist Church at 11am followed by burial at Beaufort National Cemetery. Anderson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
