Jolley E. Watson, Jr. Jolley E. Watson, Jr., 80, husband of Patricia Shavers Watson, formerly of Yemassee, SC, died in Providence Hospital in Columbia, SC on December 8, 2017. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 5 pm to 7pm at Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort, SC, with Masonic rites. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Yemassee Baptist Church, with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Watson was born on September 18, 1937 in Miami, FL. He is the son of the late Jolley E. Watson, Sr. and Ruby Tackett Triplett. He retired from the U S Marine Corp as an M/SGT after 23 years of service. He also retired from Civil Service at the Air Station in Beaufort, SC. Surviving in addition to his wife, Patricia, are six sons, Jolley E. Watson, III (Selma Anne); John B. Omes, Jr. (Angela); James E. Watson (Shirley); Daniel G. Watson (Mary); David R. Omes (Stephanie) and Patrick E. Watson; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Browder; one brother, Donald A. Watson; two sisters, Edna L. Johnson and Marjorie L. Johnson; forty six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two granddaughters, Laura Marie Watson and Rachel Leann Watson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Kittiwake Baptist Church Building Fund, 420 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
