Margaret Mary Albis

Margaret Mary Albis "Peggy", beloved wife of Peter Albis, passed away peacefully at her home on October 18, 2011 after a valiant fight against Cancer. Peggy is survived by her four children, James, Peter, Katherine and John as well as eight grandchildren, Audrey, Dean, Allegra, Sophia, Christian, Jay, Tyler and Kalia. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother.  Margaret was born on February 24, 1940, was a graduate of Good Counsel Academy in White Plains, New York in 1958, Saint Vincent's School of Nursing in 1961 and also received her bachelor's degree at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Margaret will always be remembered for her love of her family, friends and for her innate ability to care for others during her 30 years of nursing including Margaret's work as an RN for Hospice Care of the Low Country.  Services for Margaret will be held on Thursday, October 20th at Saint Francis by the Sea Catholic Church with visitation from 9:00am to 10:30am immediately followed by a mass of Christian Burial. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
