Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Philip L. LoPresti of Hilton Head Island passed away on August 9th, 2024 at the age of 87. He was born May 17, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, the oldest son of the late Salvatore LoPresti and Catherine A. Erazmus.
He was preceded in death by his longtime companion Christine N. Gerber and her daughter Anne.
He is survived by his siblings Marilyn Hegge (late Bill Hegge), Frank LoPresti (Lauren), Cynthia K. Moylan (Stephen) nieces, nephews and many cousins as well as Christine's children Thomas and Daniel Gerber and her grandchildren.
After high school. Phil joined the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart where he was ordained a brother and was in the seminary for over 30 years.
Phil was Member of the Knights of Columbus, President of the Schooner Court Homeowners Association and member of the Harbor Town Yachet Club.
He was a avid gardener and even had plants at Fraser Health Center.
Thank you to all his friends that helped him when he struggled.
His sister Cindy and he talked daily for many years and always ended the conversation with Love You, For Real.
There will be a Graveside Service at Six Oaks Cemetery on August 28,2024 at 9:30 am. www.Keithfuneral.com.

Anna and Phil, sweet friendship

My daughter Anna “adopted” Phil in 2020 as a service project. What was a small project for school turned into a sweet friendship. We visited Phil often, Anna painted him pictures and we brought him some of his fav Strawberry jam. Anna was devastated to hear of Phil’s passing. He was such a sweet man. Prayers for his family.
