We first met in November, 1977. And had occasion for visits through 1996. Though a retired major, I always referred to him as "Colonel"--an innocent assumption on my part that first meeting. God Speed Major Stearns. Semper Fidelis, Andy Weddington, Colonel, U.S. Marines, Ret (Yucca Valley, CA)
