Beaufort, South Carolina - Sally McTeer Chaplin, 86, widow of Jack Chaplin, Jr., died Saturday, August 21, 2021, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at 10:00am at The St. Helena Cemetery.
Mrs. Chaplin was born in Beaufort, SC on August 31, 1934. She is the daughter of the late Sheriff James Edwin McTeer and Jane Lucille Lupo McTeer.
She was predeceased by her son Michael Chaplin and sister Jane "Mookie" McTeer Woods.
Surviving are three sons, Johnny Chaplin (Annette), Jimmy Chaplin (Jamie) and Jay Chaplin (Debbie); two brothers, Ed McTeer, Jr., and Thomas McTeer; one sister, Georgianna McTeer Cooke; grandchildren Jay Chaplin Jr., Mac Chaplin, Saxby Chaplin, and Sally Chaplin Granet and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the charity of their choice.
