Virginia Evenstad Obituary
June 17, 1930 - February 22, 2022
Bluffton, South Carolina - Virginia Elder Evenstad , aged 91, has passed away at Hilton Head Island, SC, on February 22, 2022. Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Paul K Evenstad (Bud). Virginia is survived by her daughter Robin E Reever (Michael) of Bluffton, SC and son John P. Evenstad (Jan) of Littleton, CO as well as granddaughters Paula Reever Zorensky and Christine Reever of Washington, DC. Virginia known as Jinny, was born in Toledo, OH on June 17, 1930. She graduated from Northwestern University where she was a Delta Gamma. Jinny spent her working years as a Speech and Language Pathologist in school districts in Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC and Gurnee IL. She was the President of the Illinois Speech, Language and Hearing Association in 1981. Jinny and Bud retired to Ford's Colony in Williamsburg, VA where they played golf and tennis and organized the Travel Club trips to many American historical sites and cites. They loved to entertain and hosted large gatherings of family and friends in their home. They both loved a good party, and their family will continue to enjoy cooking from the family cookbook.
