Adeline M. McDonald

Lynn -- Adeline M. (Boivin) McDonald , age 87, of Lynn, died Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alfred McDonald, and the daughter of the late George and Georgiana (Gallant) Boivin. Born and raised in Lynn, she was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School . She worked as a machinist at General Electric in Lynn until she married Alfred, and made a home for her family. She was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Lynn. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Scott McDonald and his wife, Julie, of Hampton, N.H., her daughters, Jackie Rock of Lynn and Kelly Fabbri of Lynn, her daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Sandra McDonald, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, a brother, George Boivin of Colorado, and her three sisters, Janet Giles and Carol Dufour, both of Wakefield, and Hellen Connolly of York, Maine. She was the mother of the late Daniel and Robert McDonald and grandmother of the late Tammy Dorgan. One of 11 children, Adeline was predeceased by Georgiana "Toddy"? Madigan, Alice Knoblock, Margie Lynch, Walter Boivin, Freddy and Eddy Boivin. Service information: Her funeral will be held from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME , 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, on Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church , Lynn, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery , Lynn.
