Halas died Friday at her home.She was born in Chelsea, December 2, 1928 daughter of the late James and Mary (Casey) Hanlon and lived in Chelsea and Wilmington before moving to Billerica.Mrs. Halas worked at the Chelsea Soldiers Home as nursing Assistant before her retirement.She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert and Paula Halas of Billerica, William and Maryellen Halas of Wilmington Donald Halas of Billerica, and Paul and Marijean Halas of Lynn; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Chuck Gillick of AZ; one brother William Hanlon of FL; two sisters, Jacqueline Hanlon of Billerica and Mary Ellen Olsen of Canton; also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late James Hanlon and Irene Turner.Service Information: Funeral Tuesday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd, Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary's Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Monday from 3 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St. Bldg #9, Lawrence, MA 01843 Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
