Ann F. "Nancy" (Carr) Marengi, 88

1932 - 2021

Peabody - Ann F. "Nancy" (Carr) Marengi, age 88, of Peabody, died peacefully on Sunday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the wife of Henry A. "Hank" Marengi, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage and who predeceased her in 1997. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of Archibald C. and Alice (Carritte) Carr. Raised in Lynn she was a 1950 graduate of St. Mary's Girls High School and moved-to Peabody in 1954.

Nancy and Hank spent every summer at their home in West Harwich where they enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Cocktail hour was a highlight of the day. Nancy was also a dog lover and woke early every day to walk her beloved lab.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her clever wit. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family, especially her three grandsons and her seven great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children; Lisa Sherr and her husband Robert of Lynnfield, Paul Marengi of Sanford, ME, Peter Marengi of Newburyport and Mary Marengi of Newbury; three grandsons; Alexander Sherr and his wife Megan of Newbury, Daniel Sherr and his wife Danielle of Newburyport, and Nathan Sherr and his wife Alexa of Cape Canaveral, FL; as well as seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law, Chester Morrill. She was the sister of the late James Carr and his wife Mary Jane and Patricia Morrill.

Service Information: Her visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30AM-10:30AM in St. Ann's Church, 140 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
