Catherine Leydon Obituary
1954 - 2025
Lynn - Catherine F. "Cathy" (Cronin) Leydon, age 70, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was the wife of Francis J. "Frank" Leydon, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Born and raised in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucinda (Carr) Cronin. She had lived in Lynn since 1977.
Cathy was a graduate of Marion High School, class of 1972, and received her bachelor's degree in social work from Providence College. She was a home daycare provider for many years and enjoyed taking care of the neighborhood kids. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children; Sean Leydon, Justin Leydon and his wife Erin, and Meagan Leydon; two grandchildren; Aedan and Miles Leydon; three sisters, Mary Cronin, Patricia Berardi and her husband Gino, and Colleen Gordon and her husband Bill, her brother-in-law, Lou Galante; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Cindy Galante.
Service Information: Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 4-7PM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Her funeral mass will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 10AM in Sacred Heart Church, 571 Boston St, Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Those who prefer may make donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 465 Waverley Oaks Rd Suite 202, Waltham, MA 02452. Directions and guestbook at www.solimine.com

We were so saddened to hear about Cathy´s passing. I was one of the fortunate ones who was lucky enough to have Cathy care for my two boys Sean and Connor for 5 years. She treated them like her own family. She was like their second Mom, they loved being with her so much! Cathy was a wonderful caring person and our hearts go out to her family. She will be so missed.
