Christopher N. Nikitas, 80
1943 - 2024
Danvers - Christopher N. Nikitas, 80, of Danvers, formerly of Lynn and Peabody, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon surrounded by his family and friends at MGH in Boston. He was the devoted husband of the late Judith L. (Michaud) Nikitas, with whom he shared over 48 years of marriage.
Chris was born and raised in Lynn and was the son of the late Nick and Sophie (Kollinitis) Nikitas. He was a graduate Lynn English High School class of 1961 and went on to continue his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Following his graduation, Chris embarked on an over forty-year career working for his family-owned business, Delta Electronics, in Beverly, where he was part of the second-generation ownership. Chris also served as a reservist for the United States Army.
Upon his retirement, Chris enjoyed spending the winters in
Leesburg, Florida, where he was active in the local drama club. Chris also enjoyed bowling, golfing, a diet coke, and was always the life of the party, with an infectious laugh and great sense of humor! He was an animal lover, especially his daughter's cat, Beckett. More important than anything to Chris, however, was spending time with his friends and family, especially his five grandchildren and sharing in all their activities.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Kristen Nikitas of Danvers; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Nikitas of Danvers; his beloved five grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan, and Taylor Moles, and Jackson and Xander Nikitas; his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and William Delaney of Stoneham; his sister-in-law, Bernadette Nikitas of Ipswich; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friend Robert Halbick, with whom he shared a lifelong friendship with. Besides his loving wife Judith, Chris is predeceased by his son, David J. Nikitas, and his twin brother, James Nikitas.
