Craig Turner Obituary

Craig McCarron Turner, 33
1991 - 2025
Wyomissing, PA - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Craig McCarron Turner, age 33. On June 23, 2025, while traveling in Montana, Craig left this world to join Our Heavenly Father.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts, Craig was raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where he attended elementary school and played hockey for the Jr. Reading Royals.
In 2010, Craig graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts. He was a dedicated Varsity member of the NMH hockey team for all four years. Following his graduation, Craig enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving from 2012 to 2016, as a member of 1st Battalion, 1/6 Company, Infantry Division. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal after completing two overseas deployments in Iraq and Romania.
After his military service, Craig attended Temple University in Philadelphia. He earned degrees in both Economics and Business Administration. He later graduated from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law, where he completed both his J.D. and MBA. While at the University of Denver, Craig proudly served as President of the Veterans Club.
Craig was passionate about public service and the law. During college, he completed internships at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and the Securities and Exchange Commission, in Philadelphia. While in law school, he interned with the Colorado Springs District Attorney's Office, Sequoia Legal, and the Denver office of Holland & Knight, LLP.
Craig loved adventure and the outdoors. He found joy in hiking the mountains of Colorado with the love of his life and loyal service dog, Noula. He was a marathon runner and completed several Ironman triathlons. A devoted Boston Bruins fan, Craig never passed up a chance to join a pickup hockey game. He had a deep passion for learning and devoured books of all genres, always driven by curiosity and a desire to understand the world.
Craig lived with ambition, integrity, and passion. He was a true Patriot. He believed strongly in justice and had a profound love for God, country, and family.
He is survived by his parents, John C. Turner (formerly of Salem, MA) of Southport, NC and Audrey R. Callahan-Turner (formerly of Nahant, MA); his sister, Chelsey Turner-Gilbert, brother-in-law Connor Gilbert, and niece Chloe Gilbert of Hull, MA; his brother, Sean C. Turner (formerly of Wyomissing, PA) and his girlfriend Jennifer Hall of Malden, MA; and his brother, Samuel C. Turner (formerly of Wyomissing, PA) and sister-in-law Jordan Butler-Turner of Charlotte, NC.
Craig also leaves behind his devoted service dog and best friend, Finoula Mattis Turner ("Noula"), along with many beloved canine nieces and nephews: Flanders, Sadie, Daffodil, Charlie, Ollie, and Harry.
