Daniel Roy Moore, 73

1949 - 2022

Byfield, MA - Daniel Roy Moore, 73, of Byfield MA, formerly of Lynn MA, passed away on August 14, 2022. The son of Leroy and Jeanette Moore of Lynn, Dan was known to his family and friends as a compassionate and giving man that you could always count on. Dan was always willing to help and was never more than just a phone call away.

A graduate of St Jean's high school in Lynn, Dan tried office work out of college, but found more enjoyment working outdoors, running a landscape business for several decades. Dan then enjoyed retirement after 25 years with UPS.

Dan was a loving husband for 50 years to wife Candida "Candy", father to Christopher, father in law to Kimberlee and Papa to granddaughter "Princess" Grace. In addition to his immediate family, Dan leaves behind brothers Thomas and Timothy, a sister Patricia Doucette and their families, as well as countless extended friends that would consider Dan "family".

Dan found peace being on the water, he was an avid fisherman and loved being on Schoodic Lake in Maine. Dan spent many hours trolling the beautiful clear lake waters with his beloved yellow lab KC. Though saddened by his passing, Dan's family and friends will always remember the times they had with him, and are thankful for them all. Dan will always hold a special place in their hearts.

Service Information: Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dan at a time of remembrance on September 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Twomey, LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport MA.
