Earl W. Philbrick, 90

1931 - 2021

Lynn - Earl W. Philbrick, 90, of Lynn, MA, passed away in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Earl was born in Lynn, MA on February 20, 1931 and was the son of the late William and Edith (Copeland) Philbrick. He graduated from Lynn High School and immediately joined the Navy and served proudly for 6 and ½ years overseas during the Korean War.

Earl was born and lived his whole life in Lynn and enjoyed his home. He looked forward to his time spent at Wills World hanging out with the guys, enjoying his whiskey, playing pool and smoking his cigars at the end of the day. A very patriotic man, he kept, for years, a memorial in his front yard to honor and respect the POW's and MIA's. A celebration would be held every year, with a parade going to his home, in honor of the men and women who fought so bravely so that we could have our freedom. An extremely friendly and great guy will be missed by many.

He is survived by his son William F. Philbrick and his wife Patty (Reynolds) Philbrick and their son Aaron Poole, all of Gloucester, his daughter Cathy Philbrick of Lynn; daughter Lee Ann McIsaac of Billerica, MA; 2 grandchildren, Janelle McIsaac and Charles Alexander McIsaac III aka, (Alex Gauthier) along with 3 great grandchildren, Kayla, Evan and Ava Cunningham.

He was predeceased by his parents and his granddaughter Lonnie Thi Philbrick.

Service Information: There are no visiting hours. His graveside service will be held on Friday, September 24, at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, MA. Family and friends are cordially invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to: POW's and MIA's. Go to their website at pow-miafamilies.org and click on donate.
