Lynn - Edward Sherkanowski II, computer engineer and long-term resident of Lynn, passed away at his home on Thursday October 7, 2022. He was 64 years old. Edward was born in Boston on May 28, 1958, attended South Boston High School, and received countless certifications, accreditations, honors, and awards in Information Technology. A loving and loyal son, Edward provided care and support to both his parents from an early age, throughout his life, in their illness and final days. A man of deep faith, Edward was instrumental to the significant spiritual growth of many. He reminds us that we all serve a divine purpose and are worthy of God's love, grace, mercy, and compassion. Edward is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn (née O'Halloran); father, Edward; and sister, Barbara. Edward is survived by his children; Adam, Christen, and Edward Sherkanowski III (his "Aces"); and his grandchildren, Owen, Olivia, and Ethan. He is remembered by loved onesâ€"family, friends, neighbors, and good Samaritans that graciously nursed and visited him in his final days. Edward leaves behind his beloved German Shepherd rescue, Max, his loyal companion, and guardian of ten years. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in his honor to the MSPCA, a charity Edward espoused, or the North Shore Animal Shelter for saving his shepherd, Max.
