Frances Tombino Obituary
1926 - 2024
Lynn - Frances M. Tombino, age 97, of Lynn, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at a local nursing home, surrounded by her loved ones. A lifelong Lynn resident, she was the daughter of the late Thomas R. Tombino and Melina (Richard) Tombino, and step-daughter of the late Marion Tombino.
Frances worked for General Electric in Lynn for 42 years until her retirement in 1986, making many friends there over the years. She was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Lynn. She was very close with her step-mother, and the two of them traveled extensively. She was an avid reader, and loved the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her nine nieces and nephews; Nancy, Laura, Christine, Donna, Marcia, Jodi, Peter, David and Jennifer; as well as 15 great-nieces and nephews and 15 great-great-nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard J. Tombino and his wife Winnifred, and Barbara F. Neary and her husband Thomas F.
Service Information: Her visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 8:30AM-9:30AM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Those who prefer may make donations to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
