Leroy William Twombly III

Owner of Harbour Graphics in LynnMANCHESTER BY THE SEA - Leroy William Twombly III, age 69, of Manchester by the Sea died peacefully Monday September 20, 2010 at Kaplan Family Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer. Leroy was born in Cambridge on October 14, 1940, son of Virginia (Wiswall) Twombly and the late Leroy W. Twombly Jr. He was raised in Somerville and Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1958. Leroy served in the US Air Force then attended Burdett College where he met Joanne (Elso) Twombly with whom they shared 46 years of marriage. Together they raised two sons; Darren and Derek. He went on to Salem State College where he received a Bachelor's Degree.Leroy owned and operated Harbour Graphics in Lynn for well over 20 years making trophies, plaques and awards for teams and organizations throughout the North Shore. He was a member of American Legion Amaral Bailey Post 113, Manchester Club and the West Side Social Club.Leroy leaves his wife Joanne (Elso) Twombly; two sons Darren Twombly and his wife Maureen of Manchester; Derek Twombly and his wife Amy of Glastronbury, CT.; His mother Virginia Twombly of Reading; two brothers Gerald and Stephen; a sister Barbara. Seven grandchildren; John, Aidan, Grayson, Bridget, Quinn, Brennan and Aisling. He was predeceased by his father Leroy W. Twombly Jr. and a grandson Cian.Service Information: A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of Wenham in Wenham, MA.
