I did not have the honor or pleasure of knowing Lisa. I only learned of her untimely passing through a FaceBook memorial for another wonderful nurse. As a mother, a mother of a nurse as well, I was compelled to find her obituary and express my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends, especially her parents. I am the mother of six and cannot fathom the loss of a child... a talented, compassionate, creative, caring one such as Lisa. May each day that passes heal some of your pain and allow you to appreciate the memories of the wonderful person that you raised. The medical field and the world in general has suffered a giant loss. My thoughts are with you.

To the Valente family: I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter. I never got to meet Lisa but I greatly admired her talent for photography and her passion for Lynn. I learned a great deal about my hometown from her and her beautiful photos. I pray that you will find some comfort in the knowledge that she will be missed by so many people. She was obviously deeply loved and will be missed.

Such shocking news, Lisa was such a genuine person. I remember Lisa as a new nurse, we enjoyed working together and sharing stories about our families and pets. i remember our conversations so vividly, especially the excitement and uncertainties about leaving union and going to mgh. she was a go getter and it really amazed me every time she posted about a new project being completed. i know i don't have to say how proud her family should be.god bless and keep her, rest in peace lisa. xo
