M. Jane Femia

SWAMPSCOTT - Mrs. M. Jane (Ellingwood) Femia, age 91, of Swampscott, formerly of Lynn, died on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Charles S. "Chickie" Femia.Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Helen Ellingwood. She attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and was a graduate of St. Mary's Girls High School. She had lived in Lynn until she moved to the Bertram House in Swampscott three years ago.Jane enjoyed playing cards, dancing, shopping and traveling all around the world with her husband.She is survived by four grandchildren, David and Daniel Femia, Denise Quintiliani and her husband Daniel, and Danielle Marquis-Roy and her husband Robert, two great grandchildren, Madalaine and Gabrielle, and a daughter-in-law, Diane Burgess Femia. She was also the mother of the late Charles Femia Jr. and Jayne Femia, and the grandmother of the late Robert Marquis.Service information: Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius V Church. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
