Lynn - Marilyn J. (Scarborough) Meuse, age 72, of Lynn, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 16, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence "Larry" Meuse, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Born in Brookline, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Elba L. (Quintiliani) Scarborough. She had lived in Lynn for the greater part of her life.
Marilyn was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, class of 1971. She received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Salem State University. A dedicated teacher, she had a passion for educating children, both in the Lynn Public Schools and at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Lynnfield. She was deeply compassionate and had a kind word for all. Marilyn had a wonderful sense of humor and was always smiling and laughing. She loved animals and enjoyed the time spent with her family. She valued her friendships deeply, especially her friends from High School known as the "Fab Five". Marilyn never complained despite her health struggles over the years; her spirit never dampened.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Larry, her daughter Christina Meuse and her husband Jacob Boisclair, as well as her loving cousins and close friends.
Service Information: Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10AM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM.
