Mary DeJoy Obituary
1928 - 2025
Stratham, NH - Mary R. (Pryor) DeJoy, 97, of Stratham, New Hampshire, and formerly of Lynn, Massachusetts, died Friday, October 17, 2025, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (McMahon) Pryor and the wife of the late Michael A. DeJoy, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. She was also predeceased by her sons James A. DeJoy and Thomas C. DeJoy, and her brothers Thomas and John Pryor.
Mary attended St. Mary's High School in Lynn, where she formed lifelong friendships and began shaping the strong family values she carried throughout her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Kathy Grenier and her husband Ray; Joan Bergofsky and her husband Eric; Mary Suslak and her husband Mike; Michael DeJoy and his wife Janice; and Brian DeJoy and his wife Andrea. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Rosemary DeJoy. Mary was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a beloved great-grandmother to 25 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless joy.
Family was the heart of Mary's world. Known for her quiet and gentle nature, she found her greatest happiness in the simple moments-cooking for her loved ones, spending time with her grandchildren, and gathering the family together whenever she could. She also enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing with her late husband Michael, a pastime that brought them both great joy and created many cherished memories.
Mary leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and dedication to those she held dear. Her steady presence and kind spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Service Information: Mary's Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Pius V Church, Lynn, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral on Tuesday from 9:00–10:30 AM at Solimine Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Rt 1A), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
