Michael Frazier Obituary

Michael K. Frazier, 39

1982 - 2021

Tewksbury - Michael Keith Frazier, age 39, left the world too soon on July 30, 2021, surrounded by his family in Burlington, Massachusetts. Michael (Mike or Mikey) was born on March 5, 1982, in Danvers, MA, the youngest and only boy among three siblings. As such, he naturally was the family favorite, and affably never complained when his sisters Tracy, Erin, and Amy subjected him to playing Barbies, somehow working He-Man's cat into the scenario, or his same age but bigger cousin Kristin, a constant companion, roughed him up a bit in fun. Mike became his mom Deb's best buddy, enjoying endless fishing and frog-catching adventures and special mom-son excursions, and was a happy participant in many Griswold-like family outings with his Aunt Sue, Uncle Bill, and the Mac family.

He loved spending time in the somewhat wobbly but still magical tree house he painstakingly built with his dad Bill and playing hockey, soccer, and baseball with his friends. As he grew up, perhaps in male-rebellion, Mike pursued and mastered numerous dangerous hobbies such as motocross, airplane flying, boxing, surfing, and pretty much anything that could injure him. He also was an endless learner, eschewing formal training to teach himself a myriad of things that caught his interest. He became a talented tattoo artist and mechanic who could fix any car he laid his eyes on (though wisely refused to teach his mom how to use her cell phone). He traveled and lived throughout the US, including in MA, FL, AZ, and his favorite spot Huntington Beach, CA, where he learned to surf, ate the best Mexican food he would ever eat, and loved a special little girl like a dad. Until the end, Mike continued cracking up his loved ones and friends with perfectly timed and delivered wisecracks and charming those he met with his sweet demeanor and big blue eyes.

Mike is survived by his mom Debra Frazier of Tewksbury, MA, his father Bill Frazier of Lynn, MA, sisters Tracy Frazier of Salem, NH, Erin Frazier of Lynn, MA, Amy Frazier Clark and nephew Jackson of Tampa, FL, uncle and aunt, Bill and Sue Macdonald of Beverly, MA, cousins Kristin Simpson of Beverly, MA and Matt Macdonald of Wakefield, MA, grandmother, Elizabeth Garland of Pompano Beach, FL, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Service Information: His family, who will miss him immeasurably, will hold a service (with details to be later announced) full of tears and laughter-filled memories to honor the light Michael Frazier brought into the world.
