Nicholas Spyropoulos Obituary
1937 - 2025
Lynn - Nicholas Spyropoulos, 88, of Lynn, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Konstantinos and Lambrini (Koutsoukos) Spyropoulos.
Nicholas was born in Koroni and raised in Kalamata, Greece. He proudly served in the Greek military, in the Army division. He and his siblings later moved to Montreal, Canada where he found work in an auto factory. His talent and determination eventually led him to the United States where he fulfilled his entrepreneurial dream of owning a gas station where he also specialized in auto repairs. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Nicholas found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He took pride in maintaining his lawn and beloved garden. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan and loved learning about new technology and the latest gadgets. He especially enjoyed every moment spent with his cherished grandchildren.
Nicholas was predeceased by his beloved son Kostas Spyropoulos. He was also predeceased by his siblings: Penelope Alexander and her husband Angelo, Voula Spyropoulos, Martha Micas and her husband Nick, and Paul Spyropoulos, as well as his brother-in-law George Koukounaris.
Nicholas will be dearly missed and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Angela (Milonas) Spyropoulos of Lynn, his loving daughter Linda Nikolakopoulos of Lynn, his cherished grandchildren Mia and George Nikolakopoulos; and his siblings, Kalliope Koukounaris, Helen Splagounias and her husband Steve, and Pauline Sinodinos and her husband Nick. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Spyropoulos and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Service Information: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 S Common Street, Lynn. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the Church, burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
