After a lengthy illness she passed away at the Waterleaf at Land Park, Assisted Living in Sacramento, Calif., on April 25, 2018 Norma enjoyed jazz and attending concerts and travel, especially cruising. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed sewing for family and friends. She loved using her hands to make various crafts including macramé lawn chairs. She also enjoyed sports, especially Notre Dame football games. She worked for So-Fine factory in Salem, where they made clothing, and was a floor lady who taught the employees how to sew. She also taught at night, sewing classes, at Beverly High School in Beverly. She had a commitment to excellence and passed that on to her students. After changing her careers she became a draftsperson at Sylvania Lighting in Salem where she made many lifetime friends. She retired in the mid-'90s.
