GE employee, enjoyed motorcyclesGROVELAND - Robert G. Champigny Jr., of Groveland, age 55, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011.Born in Lynn, Robert was the son of Robert G. and Helen (Comeau) Champigny. He was a 1974 graduate of Lynn English High School and then went on to the Franklin Institute of Technology. After completing his education, Robert began his employment with General Electric as a Machine Operator. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, traveling, metal detecting and photography. He was a very loving and caring person who will be deeply missed by all who knew himIn addition to his mother, Robert leaves his wife, Barbara and his beloved daughter, Emily both of Groveland; step-son, Joseph Leone of Newburyport. Robert was the brother of Linda Champigny of Lynn and Diane Lang of Milton, NH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and his beloved dogs, Tessie and Rocky. Robert was predeceased by his father, Robert and his brother, Brian.Service Information: Robert's Funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
