Rose Gigas Obituary
1928 - 2024
Lynn - Rose Adeline (Bisson) Gigas, age 95 of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late James Gigas, Sr., with whom she shared 70 years of marriage.
Born in North Rustico, Prince Edward Island, Canada to the late Arthur and Mary (Gallant) Bisson. Rose was a graduate of Classical High School, and later worked as a seamstress for Star Sportswear and later retired as a representative from Social Security. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish Chorus, had a love for sewing, and enjoyed going to Foxwoods Casino and her scratch tickets.
Rose is survived by her daughters Diane Landry and her husband David of Lynn and Linda Garvey and her husband Neil of Northport, FL; her grandchildren Jodi Landry and her partner Kevin Shapleigh, Christopher Landry, Cody Barnes, Kayla Barnes, Brianna Gigas and James Gigas, III; and her great-grandson Kevin Shapleigh, Jr.
In addition to her husband, Rose is predeceased by her son James Gigas, Jr.
Rose's visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
