Susan Dunlop Obituary

Susan Ellen Patten Dunlop, 72
1953 - 2025
Grand Junction - Susan E. Patten Dunlop, formerly of Lynn, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home in Grand Junction, surrounded by comfort and care.
Sue devoted her life to helping others. A compassionate and steady presence, she worked for many years as a nurse for assisted living facilities and later at the VA Medical Center in Grand Junction. Her dedication to humanitarian services continued long after retirement, as she remained an active volunteer with American Red Cross and a generous neighbor who never hesitated to lend a hand.
She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Patten Tennant; her daughter, Krista Dunlop; her son, Chad Main; and her cherished grandchildren, Sierra and Mason. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply. Susan is also survived by her faithful furry companion, Whiskey, who never left her side and brought her daily comfort and joy.
Sue's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She will be remembered not only for the care she gave, but for the love, steady grace, and quiet strength she carried throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Red Cross or the ASPCA in her honor.
