Virginia L. Curley

LYNN - Mrs. Virginia L. (Hudson) Curley, 92 years, of Lynn, died suddenly in her home on Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was the wife of the late George F. Curley. She was born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Ervin L., Sr. and Irene (Cronin) Hudson. She was raised in Lynn and was a 1939 graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She lived in Lynn all of her life.She was a member of St. Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church in Lynn. She was a member of the choir and the vestry at church, as well as ran the rummage sales. She enjoyed to travel and garden. She was a New England sports fan and loved the Bruins. She also was an avid reader. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and minerals.She worked as a bookkeeper and clerk in the former Goldberg's Furniture Company in Lynn until the 1980s when she retired. During WWII she worked as an assembler for the General Electric Company.She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Fulk of Lynn; her grandchildren, Christine Cameron and her husband David of Londonderry, N.H., Suzanne Williams and her husband Brian of Lynn, Linda Thomas of Lynn, Shawn Tufts of Lynn, Jennifer Fulk of Lynn, Dennis Fulk of Lynn, Brian Fulk of Lynn; her brother, Ervin L. Hudson, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Burlington; her sister, Doris A. McGuire of Mesa, Ariz.; and brother-in-law of Robert McManus of Hendersonville, N.C. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She is the mother of the late Dennis G. Curley and sister of the late Audrey McManus.Service information: Her memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
