1948 - 2025
Beverly - Wayne Eugene Johnson, 77, of Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away on December 13, 2025, at Beverly Hospital. He was born on January 17, 1948, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, son of the late Ailene Rucker and Virgil Johnson.
Wayne grew up in Oklahoma and later settled in Lynn, Massachusetts, where he spent most of his life. He served in the United States Army, entering service in 1969, and was wounded during the Vietnam War. He earned several commendations, including recognition as a sharpshooter.
Wayne is survived by his children Theresa Henry-Reese, Nicole Johnson, Shane Johnson, Wayne Johnson, and Eddie Searle. He is also survived by his wife of 20 years, Cynthia Curtis, and her children Michelle Campbell, Michael Curtis, Amanda Curtis, and Matthew Curtis.
He was predeceased by his parents, his auntie, Cadelia Rucker, and many other friends and relatives.
Wayne was laid back, good-natured, and a man of few words. He enjoyed a good laugh, a quiet routine, and a pack of smokes.

Service Information: A memorial service will be held at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, Massachusetts on Saturday, December 27, 2025, 10:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
