William H. Butler

LYNN - William H. "Bill" Butler, age 46, of Lynn, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at Salem Hospital, after being stricken suddenly. He was the son of the late Harold W. and Mae (Brown) Butler.Born in Boston, Bill was raised in Swampscott. He was a graduate of Swampscott High School, Class of 1985, and attended Northeastern University. Bill resided in Swampscott for most of his life until moving to Lynn 14 years ago.He worked as a copy center manager for Collegiate Press, a division of CTC Enterprises, most recently working with Emmanuel College. He was the co-founder of Bedrock Games Publishing Company.Bill enjoyed gaming and going to the movies, especially enjoying science fiction, action and the superhero genres. He was an avid reader of science fiction, history and astronomy.He is survived by his two sisters, Edna "Madi" Cooke of North Andover and Lisa Laubenstein and her husband Paul of Swampscott and Naples, Fla., and a nephew, Nicholas Smith of New York City. He was the brother of the late Harold "Hally" Butler.Service information: Visitation with the family will be from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Route 1A), Lynn.
