I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Carol at MV. She was everything you described and more! I was going through breast cancer at the age of 32 and talking to her really helped me a lot. I am now a 31 year survivor. May she rest peacefully.

Hi Steve, I found this site today (2 months later) after a dream last night and I don´t have words right now for my dear friend but to say, she was well loved by you (most of all) and all of us, and I think that´s why we are all here as humans. I´m so happy I saw her a few years ago xo

Dear Steve and Family,
I remember Carol so fondly from the early days of her career and our time together at Mtn. View. She was the most gracious woman exhibiting the stamina, patience and courage during Hodgkins. She is gone too soon. I agree wholeheartedly with the descriptives of her loveliness and intelligence. She is truly gone too soon. May you and the family find peace in the love she always showed for you and the family. She is at rest. Maria (Mimi Pfaadt) Pfaadt-Eachus

Dear Steve,
We are saddened by this news and will always remember Carol as she was at my retirement party. I actually think of you every time the Dodgers play the Padres, and look for you in the stands. We will pray for your comfort.

To remember and adore a kindergarten teacher even 35 years later speaks to how special she was. She truly began my love of learning that would catapult me into my own future as a teacher. She taught with her whole heart and I can remember the joy I experienced in her classroom as her student. To feel loved by a teacher is a gift. I am truly sorry for your family. There is never enough time with the people we love.

Many may say she died to young, but I feel one has to factor in how a person has lived their life.
Living everyday to it's fullest, making every day count, filling them with loving acts and helping hands, along with understanding smiles and big hart is by far the way to go.
People like Carolyn didn't have much need for regret, since her time was much better spent on the there and now, helping others and moving life forward. The gift of a sincere, warm and loving simile impowers and inspiries all in it's view.
The world is now a little better, brighter and calmer from her gifts. Positive energy never dies, it only joins forces with all those that came before her.

The way you described Carol was the way she always was. I met her at Mountain View Elementary school when she first started teaching there. I ended up taking her sixth grade class as she preferred the younger ones. She was always the descriptions that you said and you are correct, she´s gone too soon. Wanda

Carol and I were born a day apart and were lifelong friends. We had a wonderful childhood growing up in Ontario and remained forever friends. This beautiful obituary written by her husband Steve, describes Carol perfectly. She was the sweetest, kindest person on earth. I will miss her every day of my life and try to emulate her in all I do. Love and miss you my friend.
