David Wippert Obituary

Our Gentle Warrior Hero

We grieve from the emptiness left behind at the passing of our beloved David. Although his life included loss of innocence early on, horrific wounds from Vietnam & a debilitating industrial injury, he never complained, helped others, was the champion of the underdog & always made the best of each day. David held two degrees in electrical engineering, was a third-degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do, loved cage fighting & was a master with swords & knives. He loved growing plants & trees, which thrived under his nurturing care. David also loved to cook & bake, though his favorite part of every day was after dinner, telling jokes & stories with those he loved. David is survived by his fiancée, Joan Anderson, the Anderson family, many friends, & by his children Nancy, Cindy, David Jr., Candi, Brandi, Matt, Adam, & Brandon. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margie J. Lopez & sister, Carol Whitehead. Private services are being held. Donations may be made in his memory to The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley or Vietnam Veterans of America.
