Jane Elizabeth Brinkman

1956 - 2018

Jane Elizabeth Brinkman, born on September 14, 1956 to Mr. & Mrs. Jan Brinkman of Mentone Calif. She was the third of five children and lived in Mentone on Nice Ave her entire life of 61 years. Just prior to her 16th birthday she was involved in a car accident which left her as a quadriplegic. Her devoted parents who are both still living( 93 & 85) have cared for her for the past 46 years, most recent 10 years Jane has cared for her parents.

Jane unexpectedly went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 20, 2017 unable to fight pneumonia. Her challenging life in that wheelchair was not an easy one but her strong faith in God, love for family and friends, passion for nature, flowers and sunsets along with so many other things gave her a life worth living. She also loved her heritage along with a photo or two to help tell the story. Her talents and artistic abilities were a blessing to so many. Her correspondences were in the hundreds.The legacy she leaves behind is awesome for those who knew and loved her.

We will have a celebration of Jane’s Life on the 27th of January, at 1100 a.m. at The River Christian Reformed Church. Her final resting place will be at the Hillside Memorial Park. Luncheon will be provided after the services.
